Octave Mandolin

My new model of octave mandolin.

The top is made from western red cedar and is paired with mahogany back and sides which created an extremely responsive instrument with lots of warmth and midrange presence.

A satin-oil finish makes the instrument very tactile while also protecting the wood from the hazards of a session. The top is French polished for the lightest and most flexible finish, allowing the cedar to move uninhibited.

The 550mm scale length is slightly shorter than most tenor banjos, making it perfect for interchanging between melody and accompanying parts.
